What is Agarwood?

Agarwood is a resinous wood formed in the tree genus Aquilaria and has been used for generations as incense, perfume, and medicine. This precious, naturally occurring product is now on the verge of disappearing from its tropical forest habitats because of indiscriminate and destructive harvesting. The growth of Agarwood is limited by this irregular and inadequate supply and high cost of natural material.

After 11 years of research by The University of Minnesota and The Rainforest Project Foundation in Amsterdam, Seven Mountain Co. Ltd acquired the exclusive patent rights on Cultivated Agarwood technology in 2006.
